A blog to keep the extended Sewanee community informed about my effort to work with Sewanee: The University of the South to keep my pet chickens on the University's leasehold while educating the public on the benefits and joys of backyard chickens.

Katherine, Scott and I heard about your saga all the way in China and now that we're back I wanted you to know that I am squarely in the pro-chicken camp. In fact, someday I'll try to bring you a photo of Scott reading a book in the bathtub to our pet chicken Ding Ding. One of the sweetest and most loving pets I ever had. Sherri
Welcome back! It's unbelievable how many chiken stories I'm hearing. It's a great way for people to understand that they make great pets while providing a cycle of important benefits! If you want to send the picture I could put it on the blog one day...
